Create a poster with pdfposter

You have a large format pdf file that you would like to print into a poster, but you are limited by a printer only capable of printing a smaller format natively.

The following example splits an A2 format input file (in.pdf) into A4 output files (out.pdf) with 5% overlap for tiling:

~$ pdfposter -mA4 -pA2 -O5 in.pdf out.pdf

Options:

-m Specify the size of the output media size (default: a4)
-p Specify the poster size (defaults to media size).
-s Specify a linear scaling factor to produce the poster.
-O Image overlap percentage (default: 0).
-S When Overlapping (-O), make the real poster overlap_percent smaller.
-x shift the grid of pages horizontally (percent of the output page width).
-y shift the grid of pages vertically (percent of the output page height).
